Overview

The OWA Permissions Control is a web application that can be incorporated into Outlook Web Access to provide an interface for viewing and modifying exchange folder permissions.

Currently, Outlook Web Access does not provide an interface for accessing folder permissions. The Permissions control allows you to view and alter permissions in both personal Mailbox folders and Exchange Public Folders for which you have the appropriate access rights.

The application is comprised of HTML pages that communicate with the Exchange server via the (client-side) WebDAV protocol – the same way that standard Outlook Web Access pages work. In addition, these HTML pages retrieve user information from Active Directory via ASP (server-side) LDAP queries.
